The SAMAN-M1 Target System

This system was designed on the basis of the OSA-AKM system combat vehicle for launching guided target missiles during training shootings with long- and short-range anti-aircraft missile systems. During flight, the missile guided target missile can perform maneuvers, thus simulating probable paths of modern means of air assault.

Combat Means

• The 9A33ал3-1 combat vehicle of the OSA-AKM, in standard complete set, equipped with additional easy-to-connect path-forming unit.
• The 9т841л target missile (air target simulator) is manufactured on the basis of the 9M33M3 standard missile.

The updating of missiles results in their considerable changes after which they are not subject to battle application:

• removal of warhead part;
• replacement of engine powder charge;
• installation of radar signal reflector;
• replacement of head dome;
• changing air target simulator control circuit.

The air target simulator is a small-sized solid-fuel missile simulating modern means of air attack:

• HARM and ALKM type cruise anti-radar missiles;
• Walleye type guided air bombs;
• BGM-34 type remote-controlled aircrafts;
• F1, F16, A5 and A10 type tactical and ship-borne aircrafts.
